United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) leading property developer ETA Star Properties recently engaged in the development of an environment-friendly real estate project with its creation of Verde Residence Tower. Built in a shape of the boat, the 48-storey glass tower made with recyclable construction materials was designed to maximize available use of natural resources such as the wind, natural light and geothermal mass. Energy-efficient systems and technologies were also installed within the structure.
The tower’s cooling system is operated by wind turbines and it features photovoltaic solar hot water and energy efficient lighting equipment. Verde Residence Tower occupies a 1.35 million square feet at the Dubai Maritime City and offers plush two (2) and three (3) bedroom units, three (3) and four (4) bedroom penthouses, and four (4) bedroom duplex townhouses. The tower was designed to achieve a Gold rating from the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) program. ETA Star Properties’ “Green” campaign for an eco-friendly living has made it unique among Dubai’s real estate developers which received an overwhelming response from the public through its radio campaign that marked the start-up launch of the Verde Residence and Offices.
