Dubai is dubbed the “Pearl of the Arabian Gulf”. Its total land area amounts to 3885 km2, which takes up 5% of United Arab Emirates’ total land area. This land are excludes the total area of the territory’s smaller islands. In totality, the UAE has an estimated population of 695,000. Khour-Dubai, a 10-kilometer-long river, penetrates the city of Dubai and splits the region into two. The southern region, which is also called Bur-Dubai, is home to the
Ruler’s office and the main offices of the region’s biggest companies, ports, banks, postal authority, and broadcast stations. Bur-Dubai is also renowned for its most significant establishments like the Dubai World Trade Center, the Al-Jumeirah Coast Park, and the Zoo. The northern region is also called Deira, and us dubbed the center of tourism and business. Most of the establishments found here comprise of markets, shops, schools, clubs, and hotels. The Dubai International Airport is also located in this region. Deira is connected to Bur-Dubai via three main transportation ports, namely the Al-Garhoud and Al-Maktoum Bridges, and the Al-Shindagah Tunnel.
The most important industrial and commercial area in Dubai is still Jebel Ali. It is known as the Middle East’s largest Free Trade Zone. Dubai’s strategic location has made it one of the most vital links between the Indian subcontinent, Africa, the Far East and the West throughout history. Today, Dubai is earmarked for its traditional Arab hospitality. The country thrives in economic and technological development, as evidenced by its growing sophisticated infrastructure. Dubai’s cityscape provides the perfect backdrop for business and tourism. The country is also blessed with a long coastline, clean, sandy beaches, and a dynamic landscape. Visitors and residents of Dubai enjoy the country’s geographic features by enjoying various outdoor activities like sand skiing and powerboat racing.
